HUNTINGTON, N.Y., September
5, 2008—The Long Island
Gay and Lesbian Film Festival’s
programming committee is pleased
to announce the winners of
the seventh annual Fire Island
Film and Video Festival Jury
and Audience Awards for 2008.
The Festival was held in Cherry
Grove, at the Community House,
produced by the Long Island
Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
in association with the Arts
Project of Cherry Grove. The
Festival was held on five
successive Thursday nights,
July 31 to August 28. The
festival featured several
New York premieres along with
appearances by several filmmakers
including "Between Love
and Goodbye" director
Caspar Andreas, "Pageant"
director Ron Davies, "You
Belong to Me" director
Sam Zalutsky, "Area X"
director Dennis Shinners,
and "just" director
Edward Gunawan.
